One-pot creamy sausage pasta

A creamy pasta dish with sausage cooked in one pot.

Ingredients

  • 500g pork sausage,Italian style, skinned
  • 1 brown onion, finely diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • fresh or dried thyme (optional)
  • 1/2 carton sour cream
  • 1 chicken or beef stock pot
  • 350 g pasta of choice
  • 1/3 cup parmesan, freshly grated
  • sweetcorn and/or peas (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
  • water

Method

  1. Nn a pan on medium heat, crumble the sausage meat into the pan.
  2. Once the meat is browned off and the fat has rendered, remove
  3. Add the onion with a good pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Once translucent, add the garlic and cook until fragrant & cook
  5. Add sour cream, spinach, pasta and stock and use enough water to ensure majority of the ingredients are submerged in the liquid.
  6. Pop the lid on and cook the pasta until al dente.
  7. Once cooked, stir through a handful of parmesan before serving and enjoy!
