Airfryer Char Siu
Juicy, tender pork glazed with a sticky-sweet Cantonese barbecue sauce, made easy in the air fryer.

Ingredients
- 900g (2 lb) pork shoulder, cut into strips
- 2 tbsp char siu sauce, plus extra for glazing
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp five spice powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- Honey or extra char siu sauce, to finish
Method
- Combine char siu sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, white pepper, five spice, and sugar. Toss pork strips in the marinade to coat.
- Preheat air fryer to 195°C (380°F).
- Arrange pork in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip pork and brush with a fresh layer of char siu sauce. Cook for a further 10 minutes.
- Flip once more and brush with honey or extra char siu sauce for shine. Cook for 3–5 minutes until edges are slightly charred and sticky.
- Rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
